Class FAQs & Policies

Instructors

All Coterie Teaching Artists are theatre professionals and experienced theatre teachers under the direction of Allison Nissley, Theatre School Director. Many instructors have extensive professional acting credits; others work professionally as directors, choreographers, designers or in other aspects of theatre.

If you would like more information about any teacher, view their bio on our website.

For information about any class contact Allison Nissley, Director of The Coterie Theatre School, at (816) 474-6801 or anissley@coterietheatre.org.

Class Size

We strive to keep classes small enough that all students are able to participate and learn. Early Childhood classes have two teachers for up to 13 students. Most kindergarten through 4th grade classes have one teacher for every 10 students. Grades 5 through 12 have one teacher for every 12 students.

Discounts

Coterie donors contributing $100 or more become members and receive a 20% discount on school year classes. See registration form for membership levels. Students who attend a Coterie Summer Class receive a 10% discount on classes the following school year. Discount offers may not be combined.
