The Coterie Theatre School will offer its Spring session of drama classes as live, interactive online instruction. Now available to youth nationwide, The Coterie’s classes are led by our staff of trained teaching artists and are focused on a process-based curriculum. Coterie drama classes offer quality screen time that will allow students of all ages to express themselves, occupy their imaginations, and help add structure and positivity to their week. The first section of classes will begin on Saturday, April 4, and additional sections will begin on a staggered schedule throughout April.

The health and safety of our audience, staff, and artists is of the utmost importance to us. In accordance with Kansas City’s State of Emergency proclamation, and per new CDC guidance, we have decided to cancel all remaining performances of Puffs as well as postpone our upcoming production of Pete the Cat until Spring 2021.

Cancelling performances is an extremely difficult decision to make, but we know it is the socially responsible thing to do in order to best serve our community.

It is impossible to cancel performances without creating serious and lasting hardships for our company, our staff, and our artists. We ask for your patience and support during this incredibly difficult time, as we navigate these challenges. We've created online forms to expedite your requests. Please be aware that our box office is receiving an extremely high volume of calls. If you request a call back we will respond as soon as possible, but your patience is greatly appreciated.

For individuals with tickets to a performance that has been cancelled, you have two options:

  • Donate your ticket(s) back to us; ticket donations are tax deductible and you will be mailed a donation receipt in the coming weeks. We thank you for your generosity during this challenging time.
  • Keep your tickets and use them for either a rescheduled or later performance; you will be mailed complimentary ticket vouchers in the coming weeks. The vouchers will be good for tickets for a production later in the current season OR in the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

Individuals with tickets to a performance that has been cancelled, please fill out the following form:
