Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
All seating is general admission (much like a movie theatre) and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The theatre doors open and seating begins 30 minutes before curtain time. Late comers will be seated at the discretion of the management.
The Coterie's family series shows features a combination of seating on the carpeted floor up front (for age 12 and younger) for the best possible view, and tiered theatre seats for adults and seniors. Depending on your arrival time, floor seating may be all that is still available for your party. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes prior to show time.
The Coterie's preteen and older series productions always utilize chair seating only.
Ticket exchange privileges are free to season ticket holders with 24-hour advance notice. All other patrons may exchange their tickets with a 24-hour advance notice for an exchange fee of $2.00 per ticket (not to exceed $20.00). Exchanges are not permitted unless a 24-hour advance notice is given.
Exchanges are not permitted on paid group orders.
There are no refunds or cancellations on any orders.
The Coterie is a great place for a birthday party, scout group, or fun family outing. For groups of 20 or more, we offer special discounted rates and a convenient Reserve Now-Pay Later payment option. Group rates are subject to ticket availability. To make a group reservation, call (816) 474-6552. You can also book an after-the-show workshop to make your group's experience completely unique.
If anyone in your family or group has a special need - such as a wheelchair space or accommodations for hearing or visually impaired persons - please notify the box office when making your reservation. We have braille programs and several hearing assistance devices available for checkout at the box office window.
Because live theatre places special demands on the audience, we do not recommend bringing very young children to our performances. We have found that children under 5 years of age are easily distracted during live productions. Everyone entering the theatre - including all infants and toddlers - must have a paid admission. If they are disruptive during the performance, please take them to the lobby as a courtesy to others. If you have questions about the appropriateness of a play for your child, please contact the box office at (816) 474-6552.
