A World of Pure Imagination

Description: Grab your golden ticket and join us on an unimaginable journey. Explore a garden made completely of candy, get shrunk down to fit inside of a TV screen, or slurp a cup of Fizzy Lifting Drink and float away! Bring your most imaginative ideas while we create colorful scenes and characters together. Come along as we bring these magical ideas to life and visit music from The Coterie’s summer musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Audition Lab

Description: Audition Lab is a great way to prepare for upcoming auditions! With the help of a professional teaching artist, students will choose audition monologues that match their age, personality, and individual audition needs. Students will prepare a monologue, develop successful strategies for cold readings, and learn how to create a professional resume. The final class includes a special audition with a member of The Coterie staff for youth roles in the upcoming Coterie season. *This class offers an opportunity for consideration in The Coterie's Acting Master class. Bugs and Butterflies*

Description: Shrink down and crawl around with your favorite little critters. Become a stink bug or a bumblebee or a new kind of bug you just made up, as we wiggle like worms and jump like grasshoppers. Come join us as we act out stories in our very own bug garden!

Comedy On Your Feet

Description: This popular Coterie class steps up your comedy game as students explore the wide-open world of improvisation. Students new to improv will learn the framework needed for successful comedy and alumni will sharpen their comedic skills as they learn about comedy, creating character, and dramatic action. Groovy Tales with Pete the Cat

Description: When troubles come his way, does Pete worry? Goodness, no! He just sings his song and keeps going. Invention Convention

Description: Calling all inventors! It's time to create what's in your head like Rosie Revere or Phineas and Ferb do. Students will work together to create, build, and imagine the world's next revolutionary inventions and act out scenes exploring what happens when you use your inventions. Mole Rat Mania with Mo Willems

Description: Whether on the page or on the stage, Wilbur, the Naked Mole Rat, loves to dress up - you can too! In this class we'll craft no-sew costume pieces to transform into characters like Pigeon, Squirrel, and Elephant and Piggie, as you explore the world and books of children's author Mo Willems. Get ready to rock n' "mole" while you sing songs from Mo Willems' musical Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: A Rock Experience and bring your favorite books to life! Musical Theatre: Triple Threat

Description: If you like acting, singing, and dancing, then musical theatre is for you! In this class, you will perform showstoppers from Broadway like Matilda, Legally Blonde, Hadestown, and more! Students will spend the week exploring character, learning choreography, and singing as an ensemble under the direction of an expert musical theatre actor and an accompanist. Students will perform as a chorus for family and friends during the final class. Out Loud: Create Your Own Play

Description: Let’s get on our feet and team up to write and perform a brand-new play! This is a unique performance experience where students will get a chance to work with a professional playwright to create a new short play, and a professional director to rehearse the show in time to have a world premiere on Friday night! On the first day, students will be led through playwriting and character creation activities. Then our playwright will take your ideas and turn them into a script that you will rehearse and perform on Friday evening. Bring your creativity and join us for this fun and exciting challenge! All students enrolled will have a speaking role—some large and some small. Robots Rule the World!

Description: Beep boop…whirrrrrr…DING! It’s time to turn on our imagination machines to create hundreds of robots. We can make any kind of robot we want: huge, tiny, scary, friendly, or smart. Together we will make up our own robot stories and become our own robot characters. Spamalot

Description: This hilarious Broadway smash, based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, retells the ancient tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable with an absurd and hilarious take. Their journey will bring them face-to-face with all sorts of interesting characters that will be a fun challenge for all actors. Students registered for this camp must be able to attend performances July 19 and 20. All students enrolled will have a speaking role—some large and some small. All students will also sing in the chorus and some will have solos. Auditions will be held the first day and the casting will be determined then. Summer Term at Hogwarts

Description: Join all of your favorite characters from the Harry Potter series as you enter into a magical world filled with wizards, dragons, trolls, and elves. Act out scenes as Hogwarts students, go to classes, play Quidditch, and even battle evil wizards! Immerse yourself in this exciting world all week and come out a full-fledged wizard.
