Class FAQs & Policies
All Coterie Teaching Artists are theatre professionals and experienced theatre teachers under the direction of Amanda Kibler, Education Director, and Allison Nissley, Theatre School Director. Many instructors have extensive professional acting credits; others work professionally as directors, choreographers, designers or in other aspects of theatre.
If you would like more information about any teacher, view their bio on our website.
For information about any class contact Allison Nissley, Director of The Coterie Theatre School, at (816) 474-6801 or email@example.com.
We strive to keep classes small enough that all students are able to participate and learn. Early Childhood classes have two teachers for up to 13 students. Most kindergarten through 4th grade classes have one teacher for every 10 students. Grades 5 through 12 have one teacher for every 12 students.
Coterie donors contributing $100 or more become members and receive a 20% discount on school year classes. See registration form for membership levels. Students who attend a Coterie Summer Class receive a 10% discount on classes the following school year. Discount offers may not be combined.
Registration & Payment
We ask for registrations to be in place two weeks before a class begins. The Coterie accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, check, and cash. Payment is required in full at the time of registration.
The Coterie will provide a full refund if given notice two weeks before the first day of the class. The Coterie reserves the right to cancel classes that do not have an enrollment of six or more students one week prior to the first class.
All students receive a complimentary pass to The Coterie Theatre. Visit www.thecoterie.org for complete information about The Coterie’s season of live theatre.
The Coterie makes every effort to accommodate the special needs of individuals. We ask for a minimum of two weeks notice for special accommodations or materials. Call Allison Nissley, Theatre School Director, at (816) 474-6801.
In case of inclement weather, the education director will email each family to provide a link to move class safely to a live and virtual session. If there is any question, call Allison Nissley at (816) 474-6801 or Stephanie Laaker at (816) 994-8832.
